January 19, 2010 was the final board meeting after many years of service for Dick, who was honored for his many years of service and dedication to the Millersburg Ferry Boat Association. Dick has been a board member since the inception of the Association in 1990. Chairman of the Board, Margaret "Peg" Lebo presented a Certificate of Appreciation as Dicks wife Shirley watches. Plaque reads as follows:
In recognition of the valuable contribution of time and dedication you put forth in helping us to maintain and preserve the historic treasure which has been placed into our keeping; the Board of Directors and members of the Millersburg Ferry Boat Association, recognize your dedication and gratefully thank you."
Dick was surprised by the arrival of his family to share in the event. After the regular meeting refreshments were served and memories shared. Below is a short letter from Dick.
Dear Millersburg Ferry Boat Assoc. Thank you for the plaque you presented to me for my service over many years. I appreciated you inviting my family to attend the meeting. They were all there, except one granddaughter who was at Penn State studying for a test.
This association can be proud with all the dedicated staff - Diane, our captains, mates, volunteers and the help of the National Guard. With the River Rambles, pottery sales, grants, donations and getting on the National Registry is great satisfaction of being part of "Small Town Perfection". Thanks, Dick Fralick
